Carol serves and supports SMSC because she is passionate about young people building a strong foundation in the Lord. “I know when I have Jesus in my life, I have all I need and I want young people to know there is always someone they can turn to – Jesus,” Carol boldly and lovingly proclaims. She desires to see more students involved in the ministry so they might know how much they are loved. “I want them to know they are never alone that God is always with them. Even when we go through difficult times; He is growing us.”
Working with students and other adults is Carol’s mission field. She has learned to pray for the people that God brings into her life and to ask God what His reason is for placing them in her life. She knows that “some of them may not have anyone else to pray for them.”
Carol actively serves in her church, a statewide mission group, as well as an international Bible study. Her love for God and desire to see others know the love of Jesus and come to faith in Him keeps her motivated to fulfill her many volunteer responsibilities. God has given her the ability to recognize truth and share the truth. SMSC loves her willingness to meet people and talk with them about what God is doing.
Carol is a retired elementary and ESOL teacher. She and her husband Joe have been married for 51 years. Carol enjoys spending time with her family, including their one daughter, son- in-law and two grandchildren as well as friends.
Her other favorite things to do are studying the Bible, and reading books by Henry Blackaby and Warren Wiersbe or Christian fiction.
